Original hand coloured lithograph designed and executed by S. Holden. Holden also contributed drawings and lithographs to Sir Joseph Paxton's Magazine of Botany and Register of Flowering Plants between 1834-1849.

The common name is Climbing Trigger-plant. Native of Australian states and territories: Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, and New South Wales. The small barb at the end of each leaf enables the plant to grab local vegetation and achieve a height advantage.
