Maritime Ship Hull Design "Snarley Yow"

Antique steel engraving after original design by William Baden Powell, Esq. for A Manual of Yacht and Boat Sailing edited by Dixon Kemp, a British naval architect, was a founder of the Yacht Racing Association (now the Royal Yachting Association) and at one time its secretary. He was a founder of Lloyd's Register of Yachts.

Snarley Yow was built  by Culzean Yacht Works, Maypole, in 1882.

Condition= originally folded 2 times, hand tinted, small tears and discolouration along paper edges.

Page size = 38 x 26cm (15.2 x 10.4 inch)

 This 6th edition (1888) "includes new Designs and the Canoeing section has been thoroughly Revised & Re-written by W. Baden-Powell & E. B. Tredwen. Commission of the Admiralty have been please to direct that thes designs whould be issued to the ships of the Royal Navy"
